• Account Information: Name, email, phone number, profile photo.
• Location Data:
  • Approximate and precise location for ride matching, navigation, and service functionality
  • Continuous background location tracking during active rides to provide real-time navigation and accurate ETAs
  • Location data is collected via FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION when you initiate a ride and continues until the ride is completed
• Payment Information: Credit/debit card details, wallet balance, purchase history. Shared with third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to complete transactions.
• Ride History: Records of all trips, destinations, fares, payments, and driver ratings for account history and receipts.
• Messages: Emails, SMS, and in-app messages for ride confirmations, updates, and support.
• Photos: Profile pictures.
• App Info & Performance: Crash logs, diagnostics, and other performance data to improve app stability and user experience.
• Files & Documents: Any files or documents uploaded by users for service purposes.
• App Activity: User interactions, feature usage, and preferences to improve app functionality.
• Device or Other IDs: Device type, OS, app version, and unique identifiers for authentication, notifications, and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve our services
• To process payments and manage wallet transactions
• To communicate with you regarding rides, promotions, or support via email, SMS, or in-app messages
• For safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and monitoring payments
• To analyze app performance and usage for diagnostics and feature improvement
• To provide continuous navigation and real-time ride tracking using FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION during active rides
• To calculate accurate ETAs and optimize routes for both riders and drivers

4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Drivers and service providers to complete rides (including real-time location during active rides)
• Third-party payment processors to handle transactions
• Legal authorities when required by law
• Third-party analytics services (aggregated & anonymized)
• Navigation service providers to facilitate route optimization

5. Data Security

All personal data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and securely stored. Location data collected via FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION is protected with the same security measures and is only used for the duration of your active ride.

6. Your Rights

• Access & Correction: You can request a copy of your data or correct it.
• Deletion: Request account deletion via https://flexappz.com/delete-account.
• Withdrawal of Consent: You may opt-out of marketing communications anytime.
• Location Controls: You can control location permissions through your device settings. Note that denying location access will limit our ability to provide ride services.
• Background Location: You can disable background location tracking in your device settings, but this will affect navigation accuracy during rides.

7. Retention Period

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for service provision, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Some data may be retained up to 90 days after deletion for legal reasons.

Location Data: Continuous location data collected via FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION is only retained during active rides and for a short period afterward to ensure ride completion and safety. Aggregated location data may be retained for analytics purposes but is anonymized.
